Exploring China Town for Chinese New Year in KL

Having a wander around China Town at this time of year means that you can also pop into Kwan Ti Temple (also known as Guan Di Temple) which is the oldest temple in the area.

Hidden away in the hustle and bustle of the KL streets, its rather small facade is deceiving.

But step inside and you will be drawn into the magic that this temple beholds; with incense burning, worshippers carrying colourful fruit and flowers, and people burning paper offerings in a central kiln.

The atmosphere is quite captivating and although it isn’t large (and hence can get busy on weekends) it is a fascinating place to capture a moment or two during the celebrations.   Entry is free and visitors are welcome to take photos and watch the proceedings daily from 7am to 5pm. S x
