Family Karaoke Centre hits Kuala Lumpur!

Something new, something a little different….. Anyone for karaoke?!

The ARK Karaoke Dining opened in December 2018 and offers a choice of themed karaoke rooms, perfect for families or gatherings with a small group of friends. They have created a colourful child-friendly, shoe-free kiddies room which can be used for families and can even be converted into a playroom with the rental of their FREE toys!

They have everything from a portable ball pit, train tracks, and car sets, to jigsaw puzzles, card games, and toddler toys, so it’s perfect to keep little one busy and focused!

Add to this they have a good offering of healthy food options and homemade pizzas, as well as a large selection of drinks! Their FB page has all the latest updates and promotional offers so be sure to stop by to check it out.

I have to say I love this new concept; they can organise children’s birthday parties, and they have some amazing package deals in place for dining-in and getting a karaoke room FREE of charge for an hour! So, if you’re tempted to sing your heart out, they have over 100,000 songs available in multiple languages, with some fab kids favourites too!

You can find them at Solaris Mont Kiara on the first floor, open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.30am til late (updated recently from their flyer so you can go in half an hour earlier to get singing!)

Happy singing, S x

Waka Waka Indoor Playground Opens in KL!

New, New, New!

Now you know I love a new addition to the city, and this one comes with a fabulous opening offer for this weekend only!

Direct from Singapore, Waka Waka KL has just opened its doors here in the heart of the city (at Furama Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, very close to Berjaya Times Square) and they invite you all along for a play for just RM20 per child this Saturday and Sunday!

This Medieval Playground has a large indoor play space of climbing structures, multiple slides, tunnels, obstacles, and all the other usual suspects.

They also have a completely separate section for toddlers which is filled with ride-ons, little houses, and slightly smaller equipment so that even the youngest guests can enjoy themselves.

Play in the castle, explore the kingdom, and even take selfies in their rather splendid carriage that awaits you at the entrance.

There’s a nice, large, colourful seating area with food and drinks available so mums and dads can take a ringside seat and relax a little while the little ones burn off some energy!

We haven’t been over yet (they literally opened yesterday!) but this weekend’s special promotional rate is a great excuse to pop along and see what it’s all about! (Full price list valid after the 14th of April 2019 can be found at the end of the post)

Drop me a comment below if you go for a play and let me know what you think! Enjoy, S x

A Family Getaway to Tadom Hill Resorts, Malaysia

We are only just back from our half term holiday but I’ve just seen a friend of mine staying at this amazing place so I think I need to plan a staycation!

Tadom Hill Resorts is a lovely bamboo resort set on a lake with stunning views, and only 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur! (And only 15 minutes from KLIA, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya!)

Choose to stay in their Hakka Village and bunk in with up to 6 people, book a chalet, or decide to try out their bamboo tents to be even closer to nature!

The resort looks absolutely perfect for families and children with a specially built playground for the kids, rafting fun on the lake, a flying fox, Tarzan swings over the water, and their new addition of cars for the kids to run around in!

While we haven’t yet been, I’ve heard some great things about the place, be it for a day trip or for an overnight stay. You can check out their website here for more information on everything from team building events and school visits, to just going along on a day trip to enjoy their water and sports activities.

Definitely worth checking out for a getaway a little closer to home! S x

Kuala Lumpur’s Lake Gardens by Night.

I can’t say that you’ll often find us out late in a park, but with the recent heat, it was a very welcome change to still be strolling around the Botanical Gardens with friends at sunset.

The park (also known as the Lake Gardens) took on a whole different feel as the colours changed, and night fell upon the lake. As vibrant as always, we went to one of our favourite KL playgrounds where my two never get bored of the immense amount of structures and slides to attack!

We made our way through the Sunken Garden before heading to the lake to make the complete tour of the water. We weren’t the only ones with the slightly cooler temperatures hitting at the end of the afternoon, we were joined by joggers and many a family with little ones on scooters and tricycles, which only added to the ambiance of the park.

The Botanical Gardens are open daily to the public from 7am to 8pm, and are completely free of charge. Set around the main lake, you will find a host of different features from a Deer Park, waterfalls, two separate playgrounds, bamboo play structure, fountains, and the Sunken Garden.

Of course we have visited the Gardens on many occasion during the day, so to check out that review, click here.

Proving that there’s always something new to discover, a new take on something familiar, I’m glad we found ourselves seeing Perdana Botanical Garden through new eyes.

Have a great week ahead everyone, S x
