HappyLand Keeps the Little Ones Happy

I love it when one of you contacts my FB page with information that you would like me to share with everyone, so today’s post is with thanks to Saffa who recently checked out HappyLand and sent me all her photos!

Now I won’t pretend that this is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever ventured to this area at all, but it’s clear that it’ll be a great one for anyone living locally.

Newly renovated and located at Tesco Semenyih this place is sure to keep the little ones busy if you are in for a bit of shopping! Probably great for anyone wanting to make the short journey from Putrajaya or Cyberjaya, this indoor play land has climbing structures, slides, a ball pool and even ride-ones. While I don’t have the pricing, I will add it once I’m sure of the entrance fees! Until then, happy Boxing Day, S x

One of our favourite spots, and practically our back garden here in the city centre; the wonderful park and playground at Suria KLCC…. it doesn’t get more perfect than this.

Future Land Fun Zone now open at Sunway Pyramid KL

VR fans rejoice! There’s a brand new Future Land Fun Zone now open at Sunway Pyramid in Kuala Lumpur!

This latest edition to the Senoptium portfolio is their Flagship Centre and promises lots of fun and entertainment for the whole family with attractions and Virtual Reality experiences in all shapes and sizes! They have 360 Flight and ExoJet simulators, Mirror Maze, VR Hero, 6D Cinema, VR Car simulator, and so much more! Open 10am to 10pm, 7 days a week, there’s plenty of time to pop in to try it out!

A great option for the weekend or school holidays, and perfect for VR enthusiasts. If you’re not near Sunway Pyramid to give it a try, they also have outlets at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur, The Mines Shopping Mall, Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya (at Milky Way Play Space) and Gurney Plaza.

A ‘Cool’ Christmas in Kuala Lumpur: My Top Picks

It’s December and the lead up to Christmas and all things festive is definitely upon us!

We love Christmas in the tropics, but if you are used to cooler climates and winter sports, you may be looking for something a little more traditional for your holidays here in KL this year!

Throughout Malaysia, the malls are doing an amazing job of transforming themselves into winter wonderlands but here are a few other suggestions to add a bit of sparkle and fun to your family celebrations this month! Enjoy, S

Ice Age Alive KL:

If you haven’t yet made it over to see the current exhibition over at Matic, then you are in luck! They have extended their dates, and will now be here in KL until March 2019!

Step back in time and explore an Ice Age of interesting creatures, enjoy a play in the snow, bouncy castles, arts n crafts, and games and activities, all of which really fit in with this festive time of year!

First Traxx Ski & Snowboard Centre:

The winter sports facility that opened in 2017 is a must for this time of year for anyone who is used to taking yo the slopes over the winter months.

Learn to ski and snowboard in Malaysia’s very first snow sport training facility with qualified instructors, suitable for children and adults!

Dreamworld Playland:

This popular indoor soft play opened at two locations in 2017 and their ‘cool’ theme makes it perfect for a little bit of Christmas spirit! Check out their locations at both The Starling Mall in KL and IOI City Mall in Putrajaya.

I-City Leisure:

Shah Alam is the home of the spectacular “City of Digital Lights” which is well worth a visit, especially at this time of year! Wander through the magic park of multi-computed lights, take a train ride through the trees and enjoy fairground rides for all the family. Best of all, is that entry to the Digital Lights section of the park is completely FREE of charge!

Ice Skating Rinks:

Ice skating is definitely a winter sport worth trying out this December! We are spoilt for choice now in KL and you can even experience skating under the snow at IceScape, or a snow playground at Sunway!

Snowalk, i-City:

The perfect place for anyone who enjoys sub-zero temperatures, and the best news is, they’ve undergone a complete renovation this year!

While we haven’t yet seen the new-look SnoWalk, it remains a little world of ice and snow with igloos, ice slides, sculptures, sledges, and a very cool temperature of -5!! Yes, you’ll need to wrap up warm but a big warm coat is included in your entry fee!!

Kids Nation – The Brand New Soft Play Centre to hit KL

Well, you know how I LOVE something new… so here you go with some great news as we head into the weekend!

The brand new Kids Nation at 163 Retail Park is officially open and it looks AMAZING!! Not only does it offer a colourful indoor soft play area that spans over 3 levels with slides, ball pool and lots of climbing structures and obstacles, but they have also included a lovely library area and a cafe, perfect for a bit of family relaxation after a busy session of playing!!

The concept is great and caters for the active little ones AND the bookworms of the family!, This a really nice addition for those of you in Mont Kiara and it’s always great to see new places like this opening.

Prices on weekdays are RM50 for children, RM60 on weekends and holidays (during their opening promotion, children under 2 are FREE) so head over to their FB page to check out their special rates for this month!!!

We haven’t been over yet (it only opened this month!) but it looks impressive – let me know what you think if you pay them a visit before we do!
