The New Escape Challenge is Almost Ready!

Well, the wait is almost over!

We had hoped this was going to open at the end of last year, but now it finally looks like it’s almost completed and it seems really impressive!

The brand new Open Theme Park at Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya is in its final stages and will soon be open to the public.

The amazing “Escape Challenge” that will adorn the mall in Petaling Jaya will include some seriously high rise obstacles in this new recreational centre aimed at families.

There’s not yet any pricing information or an exact date announced for the grand opening, but I will keep this post updated the minute the details are released.

I have to say that I’m very excited about this new attraction and can’t wait to see this for myself! Whose up for taking to great heights and trying this one out?! I’ll see you there, S x

Themed Family Rooms at Furama Bukit Bintang, KL

If you’re looking for a family-friendly hotel in KL, then look no further than the Furama Bukit Bintang!

Not only home to the relatively new Waka Waka KL indoor playground that i have featured on here before, but also offering the most amazing themed bedrooms!

I had no idea that this hotel, in the heart of KL, had such an array of colourful, child-friendly options, but as you’ll see from the photos, this is really something!

Choose between their Castle Room, Safari Room, or opt to go for the Underwater Room, all of which can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children below 12 years old, and are kitted out with children’s amenities in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Equally amazing is their hotel in Singapore, the Furama Riverside, which offers, themed rooms, and themed suites ranging from a Pirates room to a Fireman’s Suite! Seriously, I’m really impressed by the decor, now all I need to do is book us a little getaway! S x

FREE Chocolate Factory Tours for Children in Cheras!

A combination which may just appeal to some of you so I thought I would let you know about the new Chocolate Factory Tours available at Benns Ethicoa!

FREE tours for children under the age of 12 and just RM30 for adults, you can be taken on a journey into their world of chocolate as they introduce you to their Bean-to-Bar artisanal chocolates.

Located in Cheras, these fabulous tours are guaranteed to educate the whole family on the intricate making and producing of chocolate. From sorting and roasting, to tempering and moulding, Benns do everything from start to finish using only the best produce supporting Asian farmers in the region.

The New KL Climbing Centre For the Whole Family

A new year, and the perfect time to announce the new collaboration between the infamous Camp5 and the new Beastpark who are sharing an amazing space down at JUMPA at Sungei Wang

Beast Park is a new indoor adventure and activity park designed specifically for a new community of active, energetic people. Housed in a 15-meter high indoor space at Sungei Wang 金河广场, they are open 7 days a week, in the very heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The Beastpark can be found on the 3rd floor of the mall and has a ninja course, kids adventure area, caving, e-walls, a suspension net, and absolutely guarantees a fun-packed spot for the whole family!

That’s not all, Camp5 will be sharing the space to bring you the latest addition to their climbing family – Camp5 Indoor Climbing Jumpa! Offering over 10,000sqft of climbing spread over 2 floors with a mix of bouldering, 10m top-rope and 15m lead climbing, the regular climbers amongst you now have a new hangout in Bukit Bintang with all the usual Camp5 comforts.

The New Box Pool Villa – The Perfect Family Getaway!

There’s no better way to start the new year than by giving a shout out to some NEW family-friendly places to check out right here in Malaysia! I’ve got some great places to boast about over the next few weeks so be sure to stay tuned to my blog and my FB page!

Today’s hidden treasure is the newly opened Box Pool Villa situated in Genting Highlands. This is a truly amazing spot when it comes to booking accommodation for families and/or large groups so I felt the need to share it with you all after I saw it pop up on social media last week!

With a total of 2000sqft of space offering a sleeping capacity of up to 28 people (yes, you read that right twenty-eight people!) this has to be worth a look for your next getaway with friends! An ideal space to share for a long weekend, the holiday season, or even for a special occasion. The facilities included means that everything is taken care of!

The villa, which was just completed in December 2019, has multiple bedrooms with double and triple bed options, and is set in a tranquil setting with lush green views of the highlands, and all this in under an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Complete with a ‘box’ swimming pool, a ‘box’ karaoke room, an outdoor barbecue area with seating and beautiful views, a games room with pool table, and a roof top sky garden, it ticks off all the boxes when it comes to entertaining everyone! Children, adults, families of all ages will find their little piece of perfection right here!

The outdoor box pool is perfect for a splash around in the warmer weather and has hammocks, loungers, and even a swing nearby making it a great social gathering point. In the evenings, you can head to your own karaoke box to sing your heart out and enjoy a cozy box of sound and music with all your friends!

A New Unicorn Cafe for Families is open in KL!

I’m ending the week with a NEW child-friendly cafe that you may very well want to add to your list of things to do in Kuala Lumpur!

I haven’t visited it yet; it only opened in December 2019, but one of my lovely readers dropped me the information and I’m so glad!! I’ve done my research, I’ve seen the photos…. so great you go!

“儿童餐厅 Cafe de fairy & unicorn” is the latest colourful addition to Sunway Velocity Mall and promises to keep the little ones busy while the adults enjoy a drink or a meal.

With several different play zones, children can check out the playground complete with ball pool, slides, and mini trampolines, or venture into the pretend play area with a play kitchen and dress-up costumes, or ultimately have a ride on a unicorn!

The playground is suitable for children up to 12 years of age, and if your little ones prefer dinosaurs, that’s okay too as they have some other toys available!

They serve a number of different beverages, hot and cold food, children’s meals, and can cater for private functions too. They have a quiet room for changing little ones, a cot of sleeping babies, and are very much geared towards welcoming young families.

Open daily from 12 noon to 9pm, this could be the perfect place to check out over the next school holidays! Enjoy, S x

Mamee Jonker House Has Opened in Kuala Lumpur!

For anyone familiar with the infamous Mamee noodles and the success of their Mamee Jonker House in Malacca, then be prepared for some good news!

Yes, it’s true the Malaysian brand has opened its second restaurant right here in Kuala Lumpur! Located at 163 Retail Park in Mont Kiara you can already pop by to enjoy far more than just a new eatery!

This KL location will act as their new concept store and will be home to tasty halal food, noodle workshops for the whole family, a play area for the little ones, and exclusive merchandise to buy.

Mamee Cafe is a halal restaurant offering typical Malaysian dishes such as Cendol, Nasi Lemak Kukus, and Mamee Curry Laksa using their Signature Mamee Chef Noodle, and of course serving up a selection of drinks and desserts.

On top of that, as of October, they will have workshops for the whole family where you can design and create your own noodle cup, and then make your own Mamee Monster Noodle Snack from a wide choice of ingredients! Noodle Doodle workshops will be available daily in their Lil Monster Kitchen, and each session will take around 30minutes. There is no age limit and no booking is required unless group booking of 10pax above .

A Play date With Huskies in Kuala Lumpur

I’m starting the week with a total overload of cuteness……! Just look at these Huskies!

Now this isn’t a new place to Kuala Lumpur but I only heard about Huskiss last week when a friend of mine took her three boys along for a visit.

These playful Huskies are adorable, gentle, well looked after, and love to meet new people who pamper them! Huskiss originally opened as a cafe in 2017 but they no longer serve food (only drinks), instead, you go along to meet and play with their resident 4-legged friends.

They have specific sessions set aside daily for visitors to come along and get to know the Huskies, and if I’m honest, it’s best to book in advance to reserve a time slot as they can only cater to limited numbers at a time.

These sessions are charged at RM25 per person (under 2s are free of charge) and last a whole 90 minutes! That’s a lot of cuddles and playtime with these beautiful creatures!

Located in Kelana Jaya (just a ten minute walk from Paradigm Mall) they are open daily except for Tuesdays. Families are welcomed with open arms and staff can help you interact with the huskies and set you at ease.

Families Can Play, Work, and Dine at LinDees Playland!

A new month calls for news of a brand new hangout place for parents and children alike; I think you are going to love this place!

LinDees is a unique space integrating play, work, and dining, all under one roof. With the most gorgeous indoor playground for children up to 12 years old, they also offer co-working space for mums and dads with meeting rooms and individual working pods. Ideal for parents who usually work from home but want to step out and have a change of scenery all while still being close to their little ones as they play!

They only opened in mid-June of this year but the photos of their very original interior really caught my eye! Their play areas are equipped with sensory-rich features, and they have in-house activities that change monthly.

From gardening and sports activities, to arts n craft and obstacle courses, there is something for even the most curious of children.

Little ones can explore a Kampung House, try their water sensory play, or read and relax in their Harmoni Hall. Honestly, the space looks amazing and I can’t wait to check this out!

The playground is located at Hartamas and is open daily from 10am to 7pm, with their Nom Nom Land Restaurant and work space open from 9am to 9pm.
