FREE guided tours are now being offered at Kuala Lumpur City Gallery!
This great initiative provides English-speaking professionals to take you around the gallery (located at the infamous ‘Merdeka Square’) giving you an overview of KL and it’s amazing history as well as answering any questions you may have.
There are three time slots daily at 10.30am, 11.30am, and 14.30am, all of which last approximately 45 minutes. While you don’t need to register in advance, they do suggest turning up a little bit in advance to avoid disappointment.
Entry to the gallery itself costs just 5RM BUT you are given a voucher worth 5RM redeemable in their gift shop downstairs so you can take home a little souvenir of your visit, be it a bookmark, key ring, or any of their I ❤️ KL iconic treasures. That makes the whole experience basically free!
Definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in learning more about this amazing city. If you go before the end of the month, their Batik exhibition is still in place, but our favourite part is the ‘Mini KL sound & light show upstairs which is great for the whole family!
While in the area, take the time to take in the colonial side of the city and don’t forget to take a souvenir photo in front of the ‘I ❤️ KL’ monument! S x
