A family ‘staycation’ at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

The Hilton Kuala Lumpur as seen from their swimming pool!

I’m not sure that I’ve ever done a true ‘staycation’! So that’s exactly what we decided to do before flying off for the summer holidays and we had the most amazing 48 hours at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur!

Their swimming pool was a sheer delight for our family and never got overly busy.

A beautiful tropical oasis in the city, and an absolute paradise for the little ones, meant we couldn’t have asked for a better mini break.

The Hilton Breakfast is known worldwide but our favourites here were their juice/smoothie bar and the frozen yoghurt machine!

Newly refurbished bedrooms, the world-famous Hilton Breakfast buffet and, to top it off, hours upon hours of fun at the family pool. With palm trees, waterfalls, rock features and a water slide, I’m not exaggerating when I say that our twins just did NOT stop!!

Constant fun at the pool. Our two children practically wore holes in the slide !!

It didn’t feel like we were in the usual hustle and bustle of the city and instead felt completely transported to a resort destination.

Ordering snacks from the pool bar was made easy with their ‘Press for Service’ button; you don’t even need to leave your lounger!

Although the Hilton Kuala Lumpur isn’t in the heart of the city, it is linked almost directly to Sentral Station so you can just hop on a train (or a bus, or the monorail!) and go anywhere you want; the possibilities really are limitless especially when children under 7 years old travel for free.

Just a few minutes walk and you are in the Perdana Botanical Garden. not the easiest of roads to cross with children but the Gardens are worth a visit.

However, with the hotel being located just next to the Perdana Botanical Garden it meant we could pop over there for a walk, play and a visit to the deer park on Sunday morning before hitting the pool (yet again!) in the afternoon!

Every child’s dream; the playground at the Botanical Gardens is a sight to be seen (and to be played on!)

We had a truly fantastic time at the weekend and I would definitely recommend this hotel for families travelling to the city. Happy holidays everyone, S x
