The Adventure Maze at Young Explorer – natural fun at it’s best!

We are fairly familiar now with most of the soft play centres in KL, so when I came across ‘Young Explorer’ I was really eager to try it out!

As you enter the Adventure Maze

With a really original concept, an ‘all-natural’ feel with everything made from wood, steel and ropes, their ‘Adventure Maze’ is a very refreshing way to spend the morning!

Part of the main structure of this great all-natural playground

Located on the 3rd floor of 1 Mont Kiara Mall, Young Explorer actually offer 3 distinct programmes; they offer a Montessori Playgroup, a gymnastics club, and then the Adventure Maze that we tested out today with some little school friends!

All natural, made from wood, rope and steel

More than just fun, the maze will challenge youngsters as they make their way through different obstacles; it will put their balance to the test on swaying beams and wobbly bridges, it will have them climbing, jumping, crawling through tunnels, and eventually resembling Spider-Man as they try to make their way up the webbing to reach the top of the slide.

The only way to get to the slide is via the net!

There’s also a Flying Fox which proved to be very popular and at least two staff members are on hand the entire time to ensure safety and proper usage of the area. It looks fairly small when you enter but there are many layers of adventure to discover within the structure (which I will also add are near impossible to photograph so you won’t see them below!) so I suggest popping over there yourselves one day to see how the more adventurous little ones attack this playground.

Under 5’s will need to be accompanied throughout their stay and understandably so as there are parts that are a bit tricky! The Adventure Maze is open from 10am daily and is not suitable for under 3’s but for older kids looking for a challenge – this is perfect! Please note that all children are required to wear sports shoes to enter; this is not ‘soft-play’, so proper footwear is required for the rope work etc.

It’s really fun; we spent 3 hours there and the time flew by! Definitely a great option and my children are already asking for a return visit – always a good sign! S x
