The Royal Malaysian Police Museum: a free kid-friendly activity in KL

Today’s little family outing saw us taking in yet another FREE activity in Kuala Lumpur.

The Royal Malaysian Police Museum in KL

I’d recently read about the ‘Royal Malaysian Police Museum’ so thought we’d try it out and I have to say this place completely surpassed my expectations! Located on the outskirts of the Botanical Gardens, it means that the open-air part of this museum is beautifully maintained and has the space to house some fabulous exhibits which our children LOVED!

From a flying Cessna and a large boat, to armored vehicles and cannons this made it a lovely walk around the gardens.
Once you enter the museum itself, you can walk through the eras and see uniforms and weapons as they’ve evolved, watch a couple of videos in one of the two theaters on how the police force was formed, and explore yet more modes of transport and communication methods.

Considering this place asks for no entrance fee, it is extremely well-maintained, clean, well-presented and ended up being really enjoyable for the whole family. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, S x

  1. Hello, very interested to see the photos of the uniforms.
Did you take any other photos of the uniforms for Sarawak or Sabah/ North Borneo ?
